Senator Stella Oduah Backs Ogbaru Youths with ₦5 Million, Says "Investing in Young People Is Investing in Anambra North's Future"
ODEKPE, Ogbaru, Oct. 25, 2026: The APGA candidate for Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Stella Oduah, has thrown her weight behind the youth of Ogbaru with a ₦5 million donation at the 4.0 edition of the Ogbaru Youth Parliament, held at Atafa Hotel & Suites, Odekpe.
The event, themed "Youths, Leadership & Opportunities," drew about 500 young people from across the local government area. Senator Oduah joined the Host - the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze Ph.D, in encouraging participants to see themselves as builders of today's society.
Her ₦5 million contribution adds to the Speaker's education grants and the second phase of his youth empowerment programme, which opened applications at the event. The programme has already equipped about 300 young people with tools and capital to start or grow businesses and also supported hundreds of undergraduates for the past 3 years.
"Our young people do not lack talent. What many lack is a first chance," Senator Oduah said. "When we back a student's tuition or a young entrepreneur's first machine, we are not giving charity. We are building the economy of Anambra North. I commend Rt. Hon. Udeze for the consistency of this initiative, and I am proud to stand with him."
Senator Oduah praised the sessions on leadership, skills and jobs, and business support, and urged participants to take full advantage of the opportunities on offer.
She was joined by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Patrick Aghamba; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Reformation, Hon. Nelson Omenugha; the State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Hon. Nonso Nwaebili; and the Okakwu of Odekpe.
